Ok im in for the race.......Was gonna sit this one out but I couldnt take it...I just couldnt bear the thought of not being there. Be in Fri morn and out Tues.

I'll be there, for the National, the Divisional, and then I'm staying til Wednesday the 15 to bowl in the Nationals. Don't know where I'm staying yet and don't care yet. I'll ask when I get home from Houston.

Alan, care to roll a few "warm up" games?
I will be at the Orleans, they have a nice set of lanes there, or South point has a nice house too, or are you going to roll at Cashman?

Will be there from Wed to Sun, and back again for the div.

Bring sunblock, were are supposed to be near 80 on Sunday!

And yes the traffic is still messed up on 15 north at the spaghetti bowl. There is also some new construction on Tropicanna at Las Vegas blvd.

See you all soon

three questions for ya Dan:
1- Is there a good place to have a good breakfast near the track for Sunday morning? Like around 730?
2- does the sun shine into the press box at lvms? He he he he
3- most important question...IS THE ENTRANCE TO THE IN-N-OUT on Tropicanä still open?

A good place to eat...... Blueberry Hill is not bad. It's on Las Vegas Blvd across from the Air Force Base. The breakfast Burritos from Javier inside the track are good. Bob Kirkbride is more familiar with that side of town and may be able to tell you of a better place.

Yes the sun does shine inside the press box at times:) There are some new seats in there, the announcer both has been moved to make more room.

And yes the IN-N-OUT entrance is still open:D

great answers...all three of them:) i love me some blueberry hill. Last two trips ate breakfast at the one near my dads old apt off sunset, near the airport. Now another big question,

is there a starbucks close to the track?

Not that I could find. I tried and tried to find one in October last year...

i gotta tell my girlfriend Valerie this. Last october on saturday morning we drove up and down the strip, sunset blvd and west vegas for 90 mins looking for a Starbucks because we were craving a Pumpkin Spiced latte...no luck. HOWEVER AFTER THINKING i figured there MUST be one inside a CASINO. WALLAH! Starbucks in the planet station casino!
Sometimes the simple solution is the best one.
I am getting REALLY excited for my first drag racing action for 09!

I pulled over to the side of the road, went to starbucks.com on my cell phone, it coughed up a location, popped that into the GPS, and went on. It dumped me at a strip mall -- under construction. The Starbucks wasn't even open yet... :)

your daughter Em-dub is racing this weekend right?

We had this conversation Skippy.....Vegas 2!

i am calling as my friend D Piper would say BRAVO SIERRA! (btw D send me your cell number via PM before vegas. I have a suprise for you)
there must be a friend or someone you know getting married in vegas this weekend! If not then we can accept Vegas 2 as an alternative. But make sure to bring your track husband, as i have this dress but no date for the prom(ask paul)!

Nope, can't make the schedules line up. Emdub's in Denver this weekend for a conference, I'm in Vegas for the race (as a spectator). Probably a good thing, though, I just got the car all reassembled and running yesterday, after a complete overhaul: all new wiring, plumbing, etc, etc... We'll test in a week or so, then run the divisionals in Boise. Gonna try to make V2 though. Thanks for asking.

It's still the same thing, they are putting in a new bridge and adding new lanes from the Bowl north. It goes down to 2 lanes at the Bowl then opens back up past Craig. Just give yourself a little extra time if you are going that way.

I've been going to Vegas since that track opened and I don't think I've seen I-15 free of construction at anytime!
