for what i paid for it i will believe it when i see it. Smoking deal on Orbitz! $204 flight and hotel! Btw, anyone staying on the strip?
There's nothing wrong with the Riviera. I've stayed there three times, two of those in the last two years. They've been renovating rooms for several years. Getting a package deal on the airfare and room, I don't know what tower the room is likely to be in. When checking in, ask for a renovated room in either the Monaco or Monte Carlo towers.
They are pretty generous with comps. For the fall race last year, they gave me a high floor Monaco tower room for three days for free. If you gamble at all, get a players club card
before you do any gambling, then use it every time you play. Because you bought a package deal through Orbitz, they won't be able to discount your room charges this time, but they will start sending you offers in the mail and via email for very special deals. And if you do play a moderate amount, charge stuff like meals in the casino to your room.
Before checking out, pay a visit to the casino hosts/guest services area and ask to speak with a host. Based on your play, they can reduce or completely remove those charges from your bill.
I think the Riv is usually home base for the Gasparrelli's when they're in Vegas, so there should be at least one race team staying there.
I'll be anchored just up the street from you at the Stratosphere, Wednesday through Monday. They sent me an email offer for $25 weeknights and $34 Friday/Saturday room rates, with an automatic room upgrade and other perks back in February. I forwarded the offer to my boss at the races (he books the rooms at National events), and he went for it. 5 nights for less than the cost of 1 night at many places in Brainerd.
