I think Paton came out for both races a few years ago with Harper driving.

I'm not sure. When we ran my injected car at Indy in '23 there were 18 cars, and I believe that was the last time even Indy had a full field. Glad to see 16 entered for Vegas, that'll be a great show!

The last race with a bump was Dallas in 2024. 17 cars entered.

This weekends race is the 50th national event at LVMS. Looking back at the first ever race, TAFC had 28 cars. There are three drivers entered in TAFC that were also entered in the April 2000 race. Two of them are Bret Williamson and Steve Gasperelli. Can anyone guess the third? Now I’m talking drivers and not car owners or teams. Bartone was driving his own car in 2000. Miner racing was entered in that race as well and qualified #1. Surprisingly the Gordon family wasn’t entered in that first race.

Paul any do's on dont's for Vegas? going for the first time?

Last year was our first time going for the race, stayed on the strip. Went out to the Hoover damn, which was pretty cool. We did the strip experience and it was ok, a ton of people at night. At nights I just wanted to sip on a bourbon and smoke a cigar at the blackjack table, but my wife had other ideas .We are doing the Fremont St experience this year. I hear the sight seeing will be good on Friday night for Halloween. Planning on hitting the Sphere Sunday night to see the Wizard of Oz. Bring your wallet, a lot to do, but it will cost $$. Track experience was really good, a top notch facility, easy getting in and not bad getting out.
