Plasma and LCD will be a flat panel and be able to be mounted to a wall if that matters to you. DLP will be thicker and and have to go on a TV stand. I purchased a 42in Panasonic Plasma just about a year ago and love it, we keep it on a stand even though we bought the wall mount, it is in the closet. I really need to get back to Best Buy and return it.

Use this link to find out who makes what, Plasma TV Buying Guide : Who Makes which Plasma TVs?

My brother could not believe it when I told him that his Toshiba was basically a Panasonic as they use their screens and processing components. Of course he paid a lot more then I did.

I have two Vizo's, a 37" in the bedroom and a 42" in the front room, they are LCD 720p, both from Wal-mart and both are excellant, would highly recommend a Vizo, lots of features and the price at Wal-mart is great.

I've had a 51" Panasonic LCD for a couple years & love it. It was a good deal at the time...

In my opinion Sony is the best, of course you get what you pay for!!

I have a 65" rear projection Mitsubishi, and a 42" Panasonic Plasma.

The Plasma has a superior picture, by far. In fact, I am getting ready to replace the Mitsubishi with the 58" Panasonic Plasma.

I read an article in one of those magazines dedicated to tv's and stereo equipment where they did a comparison between a Plasma and LCD. The Plasma blew away the LCD.

I have a friend that sells tv's, and he says the only time you want to go with a LCD over a Plasma, is in a room with a lot of windows where there is a lot of glare.
