TV for 2017?

In the Member's Hospitality area at the Finals, they mentioned the Winternationals would be one. Due to the NFL season, I doubt you will ever see that after the U.S. Nationals.

Umm ... correct me if I am wrong, but all 6 countdown races were live last season (Semis / Finals). Those are all after Labor Day and the NFL is in full swing. Obviously they won't have NHRA live on the big FOX network over NFL, but it is live coverage nonetheless.

Joe's question was "Live on FOX national network", not FOX Sports. Would be a great way to start the season with the Winternationals.

Exactly what I meant, Fox National not FS1 or FS2. There are some that don't have or get cable to watch the FS1 FS2 broadcasts but still have a digital antenna to receive the broadcast except the unfortunate folks in Florida where they broadcast infomercials unless that was resolved.

I, myself cut the cord gougers but still have the local channels via. digital antenna that they offer including Fox plus the opportunity to watch the channels that the gougers want to charge me but for free thru a different way instead of paying $200+ a month for most channels that I don't watch.

I remember when Diamond P went live at the Winternationals... And Bernstein made everyone hold their breaths when he tore it up in the lights... One of the best post-crash live interviews in the history of motor sports....

I saw part of the 24 hours of Daytona on Fox here in S Fla. today. Maybe the local station has a new outlook for racing this year....We can only hope.

Maybe they could convince the station to put on commercials selling the Shark Vacuum cleaner instead of those horrible Sunoco commercials. Just a thought instead of all day infomercials.

I think they were pretty lucky last year by not having a massive explosion/oildown in the semis on the live shows that I can think of.

I think sooner or later though, the odds are gonna catch up with them, and we'll see what they have planned for when that happens.

Assuming they having anything planned.

Tim Wilkerson's wreck at Topeka was live as was the Seattle rain out. Seattle was on FOX even and they hung with it.

The thing that gets me is that NHRA is all about preventing oil downs during their events to reduce down time but when they promote NHRA drag racing with a commercial Most of the content in that 30 or 60 second spot is T/F or F/C Blowing Up!

Now wait a minute.....They fine you if you blow your $hit up and tell you that you can't do that but we are gonna take that slo-mo shot of you blowing up that we just fined you for and also took points from you and we are gonna put it our commercial to promote the sport? Whaaaat?
