Gateway gets date for 2012 (1 Viewer)

According to the St Louis Post Dispatch, a local land developer and sports car racer has stepped up to re-open Gateway International. Not only did he manage to land a date for next year, but it's during the Countdown and in cool weather.

OK ... so that will put the schedule back to 24 events in total. If Epping is in fact going to get an event in 2013 ... will it grow the schedule to 25 or is there a venue / event on the block?

PRO has strongly opposed lengthening the former (and future) 24 race schedule in the past.

I hope this guy is has a passion for drag racing and not just road racing ... I wonder what happened with Johnny Gray deal , I beleived he was in the running for it as well ?
