saw that, damn near considering a return trip to the world series.

While I have to admit, this is not my favorite "Blue Max" incarnation, it is awesome to see the real "Blue Max" with the more or less original team coming back. Isn't it time for NHRA to wake up and see the potential being generated here? I'd love to see an 8 car exhibition nostalgia funny car show at national events.

So true, not sure why they would have even picked that one, it never ran worth a crap. Wasn't until they went back to an all blue paint scheme that the performances picked up.:D

Second in the fives at 78 Indy, but I agree, I definitely liked the all-blue cars better. Welcome back, Blue Max guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Probably so people can tell it apart from the 3 other Blue Max tribute cars out there.

It's really BIG to me as well. I love the blue and yellow car at night.

I agree 100%. You bring our history to the track............sometimes our heros come too! :D

Mike, what do they pay at N/FC races? I was told the purse is Poor, which is why I think some of those guys would run for free knowing it's a Full house!

Some of the shows out west like the March Meet and CHRR are pathetic......after qualifying and eliminations it averages out to like 500-600 bucks a lap plus the racers have to pay to get their cars and crew in.....some of the races out there do pay better though

we can't afford to run our NFC at less than $1000 a lap bare minimum....we've been getting between $1200 and $1500 a pass this season depends on how far we have to tow

$1200 per is good money for Match racing, especially if you don't kill anything!

I have no Idea what they paid anyone at the Winternats.,But I was more Interested In watching all the nostalgia action!

$1200 is okay.....our car has to be able to help finance itself or else it stays in the shop....we don't expect to make enough money to buy a new block or a set of heads if we damage them, but it's nice to be able to recoup the expenses of oil, nitro, plugs, diesel, food for the crew, etc...
