If a guy puts Dale Jr's number 88 on his car and runs a red light and hits you, no lawyer would go after Jr for you. But I'll bet that if Dale Jr himself runs a red light and hits you, your lawyer (if he has balls) would include NASCAR in the suit somewhere. And Chevy, if he was driving one, and the rental agency if it was a rental car, and so on....

not that any of them are culpable, but hey ya gotta try anyway?

After 2 1/2 weeks & 5 pages, I think we've covered the topic well. It's been an interesting and clean debate, no one got nasty or upset.
I still feel NHRA has nothing to do with what a TV show does, or does NOT do. (Check me defending NHRA) HA !!!

I also feel NHRA is wrong to ban folks for actions away from their events. But that's just my opinion, others have quite the opposite
opinion, and that's fine. I just hope there are no litigations so we may never find out who is right.

But I think we have beat this horse pretty much to, and beyond, death.

Putting a NASCAR number on your car is not the same as having a NHRA comp number on your car and and good lawyer would have you on the lawsuit.

I've never noticed a comp number, a class, or a nhra sticker, on any of the participants, but I'm a new viewer. (thanks to NHR)
