What I heard was the Prock family to Tasca with FORD and a yet to be named marketing partner. Rahal and Hart "buying" into JFR with the day to day running of the business not in Johns hands and Alexis DeJoria joining Beckman.
i will say this. during austin's banquet speech, he made no mention of next year, or going after a 3rd consecutive.
he thanked everyone and everybody, but again no mention of next year going forward.
IMO the procks moving on would also have 'godzilla' status. anything is possible.
Hopefully another team will scoop her up because I honestly think JCM is worthless. Look at it realistically, Tony left, rumors are Alexis is leaving. Did you watch a race this season and actually think to yourself wow this JCM is on to something or is gonna be some competition for these other teams? Nope
all that hype of the 2-woman nitro team, and only made it one year.
you know times are tough when ida can't put a program together. 2 years of part time, and now probably nothing in '26.
i don't get jcm. i know there's a tie-in to RCM, but don't really understand it.
what about joe maynard's son? still in TAD in '26?
I saw Camrie Caruso interviewed a year ago about her search for funding. What struck her most, she said, was how many people she'd approached had never heard of drag racing.
For me it still comes down to ROI for the sponsor. There is almost zero in NHRA, put up a million plus, get 5 minutes of TV time if you are running nitro, 0-3 minutes if you run PS, PSB. Casual fan isn't running to any sponsors business to buy "stuff".
Sponsorships today are self funded, Capco, Scrappers, Head etc or B2B where they are spending money with each other, writing it off as a business expense and basically giving back to the other.

Man this is an old conversation. It's no longer about the 5 minutes of TV time. Advertising is a different animal than 10, 20, 30 years ago. Don't minimize the B2B model, that's great way to attract companies and give them a return.

I am not minimizing it, IMO it is the only one that works anymore. You scratch my back I scratch yours. Or own your own really successful business but it appears even those guys are tired of writing checks that big to play.
