Just watched "Burnout" (movie sucks but has great racing action) with my grandson. There was a scene from the 77 US Nationals. The announcer (Big Mac) said there was 70 Top Fuelers trying to qualify for the 32 car field. That's a lot of cars even for 77. I believe that 1980 was the last year for a 32 car field.
