I think the Cordova event logo was a borderline thing. It didn't display a different sanctioning body logo, but it still promoted an event sanctioned by a competing sanctioning body.

Either he was out of parts after his one qualifying run/explosion, and/or the NHRA asked him not to oil down the track in the first round.
