I must be used to the bodies or something, I was looking at the picture and while it is vastly different to a stock mustang I can recognise it as a mustang funny car body.

I'm not sure the nitro cars need to look like street cars. And, they really never can again, even if they were backed down to 300mphISH speeds. Fuel cars are the extreme classes, they shouldn't look like street cars IMO. Ever see the Prototype road race cars? Do they look like Vettes and Mustangs? Pro Stock, on the other hand, I think could benefit from taking a step back and developing a new formula based upon the new factory muscle being sold.
