I watched, what a race! I was sorry to see the Ferrari smoke the motor. I would have liked to see a 2 or 3 point difference and wheel to wheel action down to the last lap in Brazil. Anything can happen in racing but Alonso has all but wrapped up the chanpionship.

I don't dislike Shumacher, but IMO he deserved the blown motor after all the crap this year...

What do you mean "all the crap"? The only crap I know of this year is Monaco, and he paid the penalty for that. I know some think he should have been peanalized a little harsher, none the less... he started back 10 grid spots.

Now maybe the FIA officals have gone overboard with banning Mass Dampers (which clearly hurt Renault & no one else), and Alonso's penalty for holding up Massa in (Monza) Italy I think it was (which I admit was baloney), but none of that was Michael's doing, not even Ferrari's. Plus he hasn't been as ruthless the last 2 years as he's been in the past.

Besides this is his last year (I might cry now). Let's all show Schumi some love. After that engine failure he won't get his 8th title now unless Alonso suffers a similar fate in Brazil and Michael wins (and that's a long shot beyond long shots). Alonso won't have to push the car, so engine failure will never happen.

Oh yeah, I'm sad that this was the last Suzuka F1 race too. Hopefully Bernie will come to his senses & eventually (sooner than later) bring the Japanese Grand Prix back to Suzuka, not Fuji. They need to upgrade the track ammenities & what not, but the track itself is one of the best around.
