actually if Florida does win then I say that Boise gets to be #1 they are undefeated and beat Oklahoma (sorry tom) and Oregon st, ya know those big conference type of schools AND they played 4 bowl teams this year (not counting oklahoma) who went 3-1 in bowls
PJ I just looked at your link. You better quit betting!!! That is too funny but I still think that I would rather wear a pink tutu than drink out of this mug again! (Teri![]()
). I don't want to take over this thread so I'll have to PM you. I was a volunteer with the Oakland County Special Olympics (power lifting) for a few years. Some of the most rewarding times of my life.
GO BLUE!!!

I have got to quit taking a drink before I look at something on here, as once again I have spit my Mt. Dew on the screen when I looked at PJ's picture!!!![]()
Dave, you kill me!! I'll bet with ya on the 11-17-07 game & when you lose maybe PJ can loan you his tutu!!!!!![]()
PJ, the Special Olympics is such a great cause & one that I give to.
Hey, it's me again! I heard there's some kind of bowl game on tonight or something--any truth to that rumor, Teri?
I do think I'm going to be able to watch--the generator will give me light and actual running water (but no heat--my new high dollar furnace is too computerized and sensitive to get going with the generator--bummer) and will power the tv and the satellite dish--one catch though--is the game on Fox? Our fox affiliate has also been hit by the storm and is on a cycle of 6 hr rolling blackouts to save power (it's that bad out here!) and hopefully they can cycle so we can see the game--Hi Terry,
How are you doing????
I have heard talk all day about some big game tonight!!!!I have all of my BUCKEYE good luck charms all ready for tonight!!! Are you going to be able to watch it???? If so, shake that ear of corn!!!!!
Take Care & keep us updated.![]()

The ear of corn is ready and I'm planning on rooting heavily for the buckeyes since it seems Tim's Horns are the only team to step for all us maters so far!
I'm back at work at my job as Ebusiness manager for Allmand Bros (Allmand Home) in Holdrege for the first day since the storm hit. Holdrege still has no real power and the city is running on generators--but not enough spare power for the industrial stuff like us. We got a 1 meg generation set (about the size of a semi for those of you playing at home) installed yesterday and it is now powering the plant--the costs are staggering--the generator is approx $20,000 per Week rental and uses approximately 1200 gal of diesel fuel per 24 hr period. But as long as it's running and the plant is open, I can steal a little time to check in on materland!
Enough about the power thing Good Luck Teri, Go Buckeyes, and Lord willing I may finally get to see a great bowl game--the ear of corn is ready and waiting!
Yes Terry it is on FOX. It comes on here (we are central time) at 7:15.
Shake that ear of corn & cross your fingers & whatever else ya can & root for the BUCKEYES.
I'm central time also--will be ready to cheer at 7:15. Start the generator, gather up the blankets, find some snacks and the ear of corn, and be ready to go. I can guarantee I will have no problems with the beer getting cold, though! GO BUCKEYES!!!!!!
Thanks, Jay! Appreciate the good thoughts--power outages in rural Nebraska aren't that rare, but NOONE has ever seen anything of this magnitude before..but we're hangin' in and takin' it day by day..thanks for thinking of us! Somebody at the bar (that's where we go to get the news and keep from going stir crazy--the small town (320 people) bar owner and his wife are staying at the bar 24/7 and the door is always open for anyone that needs something. Interestingly enough it has become the nerve center of the surrounding area) said last night that he thought parts of New Orleans had power back sooner after Katrina than after this storm...y'know, he may be right. Keep in touch and thanks!Man, you are really in the middle of a nightmare out there. Try to stay warm and enjoy the game!!!
l purchased a satellite system that gets Orbit ESPN basically for NHRA Drag Racing, but l also watch the College Football games. My American penfriend lives in Youngstown Ohio and l've been on vacation nine times to that beautiful state.
So l support the BUCKEYES against Florida State.
Click on ESPN.com - NCF - TOSTITOS BCS CHAMPIONSHIP GAME 67% of over 709,000 people have voted that OSU will win the game.
HMMM under an hour till game time. I envision Teri sitting in her livingroom on the floor. Buckeyes spread all around her, OSU clothed head to toe, candles lit and a gator voodoo doll in hand for whatever curse she needs to pass on. Every once in awhile she punches that old Michigan voodoo doll just cuz she's mean like that. She's probably chanting whatever the osu fight song is. The smell of roasted gator fills the room. I think she's ready
Good luck Teri
Go buuuuu go bbbbbbbb sorry even for you I can't do it
