If you were to theorize, who do you think would intentionally contaminate product? In the 6:00 PM new a huge recall of Tyson Chicken was announced.
How strange, was it intentional or an accidental case of contamination?
These people? Really?
I thought freedom of religion was part of what this country was based on.
Them people. Heard that before?
"these people" are the union workers, who produce, agreeing to something.
That being said, I hate to see Labor Day given up has one of the floating holidays. While it is still avalable as a day off, it now requires that they take the day off on vac pay. I disagree with that.
However, it doesn't affect anyone other than that uinion, that plant, or their workers. The holiday is still in effect, they, union and company, agree to pay straight time for the day.
Which has what to do with frozen chickens? To bad the City of San Francisco doesn't agree with that! Catholic services constantly get interrupted by the Gay militants, and the city does nothing!
Yet You are 'forcing' Two religious Holidays on me... can I get My religious Holidays off with pay too?
I only thought it was the Big Six....
National Hang Over Day

Is there no such thing as an American born Muslim? Or is every American a Christian?
This has nothing to do with a "National" holiday, but rather how a corporation compromises with its workers to put out a product, and make money. No one other than the employees of this factory are affected. Certainly not on a national level.
Something tells me you have a problem with MLK day being a national holiday also. Forgive me if I am mistaken.
So, the minority of the union members lose a vote, and the employer bends and does what they want.Tyson plant adds Muslim holiday, keeps Labor Day
- 8/8/2008 2:51:53 PM
Union workers and officials at the Tyson Foods plant in Shelbyville, Tenn. have agreed to reinstate Labor Day as a paid holiday, but the plant will also observe a Muslim holiday this year.
Tyson had previously agreed to drop Labor Day and substitute Eid al-Fitr as part of a new 5-year contract. The change was meant to accommodate Muslim workers at the plant.
A news release on Friday from Tyson's corporate headquarters in Springdale, Ark., said the company requested reinstating Labor Day after some employees complained.
For the remainder of the five-year contract, there will be eight paid holidays, including Labor Day and a personal holiday that can be used to observe Eid al-Fitr or another day the employee's supervisor approves.
Good Job Tyson![]()
So, the minority of the union members lose a vote, and the employer bends and does what they want.
Maybe the ones who don't like union votes should drop out, quit paying union dues, and quit receiving union bennies and wages.
Yeah, I understand majority rules. They had a vote, the majority wanted to change, and the non-muslims evidently didn't like the results. The muslims may not be in the minority in this plant, but the union workers vote is not dependent on religionHave you heard about 'majority rules'? I understand that Liberals are trying to turn it into 'minority rules', but so far, the American way still prevails.
Americans who value their 'Labor Day' got their day off with pay and the minority Muslims got their day off with pay as well.
I call that a win-win for everyone, although I just KNOW you will disagree.![]()
Have you heard about 'majority rules'? I understand that Liberals are trying to turn it into 'minority rules', but so far, the American way still prevails.
So, Tyson bowed down to %20 of the union members.
Do American Muslims get both days off?
I am so glad you THINK you KNOW me well enough to have a large enough crystal ball to foretell my thoughts. But trust me, it ain't true.
2. Then don't interact with me.1. Yes
2. Trust ME, I don't want to know you at all. No crystal ball is needed, when a person looks at the track record.
Have a nice day, now, y'hear?
2. Then don't interact with me.
You have been clowned in this thread since the first post, with your Americans vs Muslim attitude (BTW, Muslim is a religion, not a country), try to claim "majority rules" until proven wrong, and then bring up my "track record"? WTF ever that means.
Get off your high horse.
Wow. Can you be more insulting?1. Clowned. You're funny
2. I can't help myself. You're too easy. But I PROMISE to try harder
3. No Americans Vs Muslim attitude, except in your head and others who race bait
4 WTF? I KNOW it is a religion.
5. The right decision was made. Labor day stays, Muslim's get their day also. Win-win.... EVERYONE is happy.
6. You know exactly what that means. It's the reason more people don't post in threads you're in.
1. Yes
2. Trust me, i don't want to know you at all. No crystal ball is needed, when a person looks at the track record.
Have a nice day, now, y'hear?
And Fox News![]()
Wow. Can you be more insulting?
To easy?
Race bait? (what does race have to do with this situation?)
People don't post more? This thread seems to be growing quickly, with many having the same view as I.
Grow up.
