Today she said all the sponsors she's found want her to drive the car.. So supposdly she will be making test laps in doug herberts car.. Be pretty wild to see her at an national event

friggin' awesome on the one hand. How she'll handle what she has previously said about her retirement is a question on the other hand.

Didn't she once say that no matter what deal there was, she wasn't ever driving again?

Whatever. Glad to hear she's got enough backing to get out there. It will be great for the sport.

I just hope she gets some PR coaching before she's in the spot light again. I'm glad she speaks her mind, but some of the things she can say in the moment are....regretful, even if true.

Oh, what the hell do I know. The sponsors certainly know what they're buying with Shirley. If it's OK with them, it's fine by me and great for nitro racing!

Hope that is true. That is one lady that can certainly get the medias’ attention. John Force plays for the camera, Shirley is her self and the camera follows her.

I think its awesome and I love how she actually says what she is thinking at least with her when she says an oppinion she is being honest and not just saying stuff to not cause any ruckus.

Maybe all that negative racket about the National Guard helped. I don't believe this is true but if it is COOL COOL COOL.

there is a fine line between speaking your mind and just sounding bitter about everything. I think she spends too much time on the wrong side of that line...I agree though that it would be great to have her back out there.

This statement is 100% accurate!

Never have had the opportunity to see her drive in person. Would be great to watch someone I've had the utmost respect for in action, as she is the person who paved the path for the ladies who followed

i gotta be honest, i'm concerned when someone 60 years or older is driving one of theses cars. I'm not saying shirley or anyone that falls into that category cannot still drive , my concern is, can they survive the unfortunate circumstance of a wreck if it happens. Most of the current drivers in nitro are relatively strong healthy individuals and i know there are some 60 plus year olds who are currently driving, but most of those guys are very healthy for their age. Most of the current crop of drivers could sustain some bumps and bruises or can get knocked around and still come out of a incident ok !

Tell that to the Greek, James. Look, all fuel drivers must pass a FAA physical to be able to drive. And, it is their choice. Just like anyone else. It is what they choose to do.

Hey wait a minute. During the bonus interview on the HLAW DVD release, she asked both Big and Bounty if they've driven thier last race, then she claimed that she herself indeed has. (Bounty was the only one who didn't say he had). I guess testing isn't actual racing........:D If that all comes together, I'd like to see her re-kindle her relationship with Hillary Will......

Force is over 60. Gary Densham is over 60. I, however, am not over 60.:D
