Joe...Yes Billy Meyers car drove up the side of the trailer.
Pit accidents are rare but do happen.
I saw Denshams car backfire while starting up in the pits and he was rushed to the hospital w/ major lacerations to his legs.
Have seen on two occasions remote starters explode in the pits and shrapnel ended up in the crewmembers torso.
At Sonoma witnessed an A/Fuel dragster hiccup while idling and blew the intake into the side of a trailer.
That situation last weekend was sad...

In the 1970's i lived on 2 1/2 acres. One day i was running my dragster, it was 131 inch wheelbase, in the back yard and hit the throttle, it was stuck wide open and heading for the house. I hit the dogs water bowl and high centered on it and stopped about 5 feet from the back door, all 4 wheels in the air. Accidents can happen anywhere, i was lucky to be on grass!!!! My condolences to Ronnie Marcum's Family.
