Yep I remember that. Steve Evans did the commentary. He once said that while he liked doing other types of racing shows, drag racing was always #1 with him. RIP Steve.

sorry to derail slightly, but was watching episode of 'bad sport' on netflix last nite; show about randy lanier from 80's. when he got involved with IMSA, the show had a bunch
of original coverage by diamond P, and steve was on the mic thru a lot of it, both his voice, and video clips of steve and brock yates. i will always miss steve evans too.
totally remember the swamp buggy shows on sports cavalcade. let me guess, the old swamp buggy track has dried up and is being sold to developer
