I found his comment about how staying out till 1 a.m. would have got him in trouble in his old life interesting...

Post #60. Nunzio stated this thread was a joke you agreed now do you get it!

Man you need to find something else to do. You seem to like picking apart what I say. I'm just doing what everyone else does here. It is a message board, right!!!! You need to join comp1 that is where all the *******s are!!!!!:D:p

Hey Bob, I just revisited this thread, and when I look at your first post, I can see you weren't slamming LD at all, but rather just getting a little dialogue going about Larry's little slump, I guess I got a little irked when it seemed that some people think a seasoned pro shouldn't ever falter. The problem with these message boards is discussions can get carried away because no matter what, reading people's posts is never the same as sitting around jawing in person. Anyway, Larry has proved that he can still drive, so it's all good!

Now that things have calmed down, I want to put something out there and see who agrees and who disagrees.

The driver's job when driving for Alan Johnson is different than driving for any other crewchief (owner)...............

Agree or disagree, it doesn't matter. Just support your position with facts or theories. :)

Oh Boy!!!!!! This should be interesting. I think I will just sit this one out. For now!!!!!!!!:D

The driver's job, no matter the Crew Chief, is to perform to a level of consistency that he or she subsequently removes themselves from the tuning equation.

These things are temperamental enough without having to tune around a driver that's all over the map.

what he said...

It is my opinion that the job is "don't screw up" when driving for Alan. NEVER red light.......try not to be too late. Look at Tony S. In the past, he rarely won on a holeshot and was second to leave many, many times. It didn't matter most of the time. This year, different story. His RT's have been great and he has a good number or holeshot wins. Larry on the other hand, always had great RT's in the past. He won a lot of races on holeshots and rarely had anyone leave on him. Not the case this year.............:)
