I like the riders, I like to watch them run. I don't need smoke & fire to appreciate a good pass.
My problem is they don't fit the term "PRO" class.
A PRO class has the same rules for ALL. PSM has different rules for each make of bike.
That by definition makes it a handicap class. (imo)

I love the PSM,first time i saw them was at Topeka, the 'infamous" Angelle VS John Meyer, i think made them drop the PSM class at Topeka. SUCKED watching them at St. Louis a few months from that as they was slipping and sliding down track.
What a lot of people do NOT realize if ya back OFF the throttle in a PSB ya basically thrash the transmission! Takes finesse and strength to make a pass on one. They also use a 'tuneable' clutch and otehr stuff a lot of people do not realize.
I sat on one at St. Louis and geez they are short, mid thigh high to me at 5'11", Talked to Geno Scali Reggie Showers Greg Underall, watched em work on the motorcycles. was quite a interesting experiance.
YEp i also LOVE Nitro in all flavors T/F,F/F AA/FA Nitro Harleys are ok and fun to watch.
I do not think they could get the sponsorship for a full race season like the rest of the Pro's TV time is as bad if nor WORSE then the P/S cars.....

I am not a PSM fan. I usually head to the pits or the beer stand like most everybody else.

That being said, I respect the effort it takes to put one of those machines together and race it. I fully support NHRA giving them a place to race.

Sometimes parity can be boring, at least to me. PSB doesn't seem to have the superstars the other classes do, such as Force, Schumacher, Jeggie, Erica, etc. They once did, but Angelle retired.

It is a contest to see who can resurrect the oldes thread. Started in the crew chief thread. So far I'm winning.
Too bad all of the pre-2006 threads disappeared from the database. I bet there was some good stuff from the early days of the forum before the turn of the century.
