For the most part, emergency hospital's air on the side of caution, as far as the 'critical' part goes... However, with the hits he took at SPEED, and being knocked unconcious...
Head trauma and internal injury issues could be a time consuming issue... Anyone who has ever been admitted to an ER knows that they cannot and do not get instant results, as injuries and condition of those injuries, need further evaluation and monitoring... Waiting for news can be very difficult to deal with... Let's just hope, he is in good hand's, and makes it through these critical early moment's of waiting on test results and fight's the good fight with the piss and vigor he is made of... We have all said a word for nothing more then a full recovery, from this very bad day that has happened to one of our own... We love you Eric... Stay strong Bro!! JFR and your family have our full support and love also... My signature has always said it, loud and clear... I feel like shit right now...

Well this can't be the best of scenarios. The crash story made the front page of ESPN.com (even with all the NCAA Tournament going on). It's on the right hand side of the page, 5th topic down. Of course, they said Eric was driving a "dragster"

i just got home , man im shocked. our prayers are with eric, his family, the crew and all of john force racing! pleaseget well soon eric! hes a great guy and a great driver. this put all of the points, and arguments about our favorites in perspective, these men and women risk thier lives every time they get into these cars. please get well soon eric!

My prayers and thoughts are with you Eric and John Medlen. Being a father of a 16 year old son, I can't even imagine what John Medlen is going through right now. I'd trade places with my son in a heartbeat in a situation like this one.
