No.Is Ida still entered?
So what does this mean for the pro classes?
Thanks for posting that, Jim.
Nothing so far. Only message from NHRA is the intent to get the race in and rules for qualifying positions in case of no or reduced number of qualifying runs. No change to the rules that I see. This is per a message this am about 1030 pst.So what does this mean for the pro classes?
I feel sorry for the sportsman racers running for a championship this weekend. Hitting the track for round 1 with no time trial could be disaster for them. However I agree with the decision made by NHRA. If they can’t finish the race until next weekend quite a few would be unlikely to return unless they were in contention or local. They are better off getting it over with than sitting around for four days trying to race. With any rain their schedule would obviously be shuffled to get the pro categories in.everyone loses on this deal. that's great that nhra is extending withdrawal all the way to a no show in E1 for thursday sportsman
Lots of bench racing. So what does this mean for the pro classes?
When its raining and you know its going to continue to rain do you all just stay at the hotel and sleep in,run errands,or just hang at the races?Lots of bench racing.
We get up and go to the track. We're pretty much welded there until NHRA calls it for the day. There's usually always something to work on. We obviously watch the weather radar just like everyone else just incase a window is coming. I've seen it happen! It only takes around 90 minutes to dry the track. So things can get busy in a hurry. If it continues to rain, I may go visit someone in the alky pits or another fuel team. Once they call it, most our guys go out dinner or find something to do. I'll usually chill out in the trailer lounge, listen to some west coast hip-hop musicWhen its raining and you know its going to continue to rain do you all just stay at the hotel and sleep in,run errands,or just hang at the races?

totally agree paul. it's good they let STK go first as bubba is already the champ. i'm not sure if SC is over yet? as they are up 2nd today. This should be a very entertaining first round today for sportsman. How good is your data, and how many numbers are you going to hold??? Oh man it's going to be fun to watch.
