Don't care, Joe. What alternative is there? Sometimes there are short shows and a mega-team dropping out could easily happen. -
The cost madness of the Big Show nitro cars and Pro Stock cannot go on indefinitely, can it?

This is a very old topic, regarding costs and such. But I don't think we're close to needing 8 car fields just yet. And the thing about big teams parking, it does provide opportunity for smaller teams to come out and take a shot. Pro Stock had more trouble than the fuel classes last year. Remember in the '80s I believe when TF was looking real weak, with many REAL short fields? Here we are, THIRTY years later, and we have 16 car shows. Besides, if it gets too bad NHRA can just adopt Heritage rules, and there will be plenty of fuel cars!
