Pomona canceled, Just like that the Season is over, Bad decision by NHRA in my opinion

There was already discussion at the track on Saturday that if the race went into Monday that the awards deal could be held on the Fairgrounds Monday night. So, the banquet wasn't the issue, it was track conditions or lack there of. Now whether or not the City of La Verne where the track actually resides, would allow fuel cars or LOUD days on a Monday would have been another issue.

The look on Galvin’s mug when he had the privilege of making that cancellation announcement on NHRA tv is all you need to conclude that it was an unfortunate, weighty decision, but really the only practical one.

Once all the issues and options came out, definitely agree NHRA made the right decision. I looked forward to seeing all the champions crowned but it was not to be. As someone else mentioned, Mother Nature is still undefeated.

As a final thought, if they were magically able to handle all of the logistics of moving the race to Phoenix like some people said they should have done.

This was Firebird Friday morning. And it rained overnight Friday into Saturday and rained again all day yesterday. In fact it was still sprinkling when as I drove home from work a little bit ago.

I would think Dan Mercier wishes he would have went to Dunn instead of Pomona, since he won the race at West Salem.

Sometimes I wish I would have gone somewhere else even if it doesn't rain.
Mike , even though I'm pulling for TJ to get the seat in the Cornwell car, I would be happy to see you drive it also. Coil might come out of retirement to tune it , the "Cornwell Tools Chi-Town Huster" has a nice ring to it, don't you think ?
