this thread is a matter of who likes who, the force haters will say he was wrong period. but the FACT is, that tony pedregon had NO problem diving for john force for 8 years, john dove for him in the last year of his contract so he won the championship, still no problem with that either, but now there is a problem because it bit them .the pedgregons have no class, thats a fact also. oh yes haters- ashley won indy :D

One if they so desired, could or may find physical to mean the slightest non-consentual touching of another.

Just some simple non-directed thought as per my previous post.

Yeah, John Force probably deserves a fine of some sort for pushing the official aside. But it would be money well-spent for responding to the snivelings and whinings of the Pedregons.

I'm glad that it was 3 Force cars in the finals, and ashley beat tony. He deserves it. I hope Tony finishes 10th in the points, and 1-4 is all Force cars. That'll show him...I'm glad John is back to his old self and not taking any more BS...John didn't lay a hand on anybody first...the officials grabbed him and he got free...Tony and Cruz don't have any class, never have, never will...And just maybe Dickie Venables saw the writing on the wall to get out...

Shocking commentary!
Thank You!!!

Ashley won---Cruiser can cruise on back to Kalifornia--and TPed will without a doubt get the best shot the Force team can muster to knock him off the top. This may be the shot in the arm NHRA needed (can you say Cale and Bobby fistfight at Daytona?).;)

I doubt there will be much of a comparison in the end. The NHRA needs more than this. The rest of the general public will laugh it off. Only us diehards will care.

It's just good stuff....I'm not a big fan of either (big Force fan back in the day before he dominated...pull for Wilkerson now). I think it's nice to see some emotion from Force again. As far as the comments go, the Pedrigons had a chance to get in on their own, they didn't...thats the way it goes. Take your lumps and go home. Wilk lost last year to them do to the points system, he did'nt get on TV and cry like a baby....the "rules" were ok when it it benefited them (Pedrigons), now it's cheating and manipulating the system. It will blow over, made for good tv...move on.

At least when the countdown is on the line, the Pedregons race!

And thats where they goofed.

IF I were in that same situation as team Force you can bet the bank I would have done the exact same thing. Don't get me wrong, I don't care for the dives, but I understand that's how the game is played. A couple of years ago Morgan DIDN'T take a dive for Melanie and I thought that was Great! but boy did he take a beating here on the Mater for playing fair and heads up.SO whats it going to be folks? you seem to complain when they play fair and you seem to complain when they dive. ( these comments are not directed at you Dave ) i don't think there is a cure for it, but Tony P should have played the game at the last race just like every other TEAM has done for years now, and maybe they would not be in the situation that they are in today.

Tony could have not bothered John spoiling his time with his daughter after an honest win.
He knew what buttons to push on an emotional John and went towards John before the cameras rolled.
What was done was done and it looked bad to everyone and I agree with Tony but National TV with kids watching is no time to settle a dispute because it was up to NHRA to deside anyway. Short of confessing wrongdoing John nor Cruzer or Tony had no part in the decision.

They should be both fined and loose thirty points which is the number Tony starts with up front.

I believe what happened was wrong but not 100 per cent and falls under $ happens but the altercation was started by Tony and was preventable.

Right on bro ! A little fireworks is a GOOD thing ! I've got nothing but love for the Pedregons and Forces . I'll go to work tomorrow and hear ppl that don't know chit about this sport talking about the big fight ! WooHoooooooo

Yup ... just happened at Brainerd. Side by side race and Tony won.

Costing Cruz twenty precious points?????? Business smart??? No - he needed those points today!

Now, for all the Pedregon lovers/Force Haters - lest we remember the end of last year with an obvious dive in Vegas giving Cruz the points necessary over Wilkerson to win the championship. If you hate Force today you MUST also hate the Pedregons for their team orders.

Lastly, for the DSR darlings, please don't be so blind to forget Neff/Scelzi in Seattle picking the wrong lane in an effort to further the team's point situation. This was Jim Jannard's first win after spending millions on this sport but he was denied due to team orders. You're simply kidding yourself to believe it's not happening. This is big business and the smart one still has all his teams running and funded while the ones crying "Cheaters" today are watching the wheels fall off.

p.s. Dickie seems happy over at AJs place, don't you think?

Remember, what's good for the goose is good for the gander. Research your history before finger pointing.
