odd how most here see it as all one side or the other

to me yes Force has dove and yes Tony whines too much (especially in view of his history) Why does it all have to be on one or the other?

Also how sad is it that the first 45 minutes of the show was centered on if weather the biggest name in our sport was going to take a dive........

Good run, just enough for his supporters to sat "See he made a full pull and left on him" but also just bad enough for the doubters to point to soft tuneup and hight not needing to push the tree strategy

You want twenty pages, post it as something you thought of in the shower.:D

I just can't see me thinking of either of them while I am in the shower & it's my soap, so it's my rules! ;)

Speaking of showers, have you seen the one that looks like a panel of tiles that fits in the ceiling? Is that cool or what? :D

I thought ESPN2 drubbed this story way, way to much before the 1st Round. Instead of talking about the implications on the Countdown with such a race they sought to put a microphone in everyone's face asking "is the fix in?" When John Force watches the replay of Sunday's telecast I would say it will hard for him to not think that ESPN2 is attacking his character even more. (DAMN, WTF I'm defending John Force...geez Bullard))

In Tony's defense you have Rieff up front asking him if the fix was in and spurring it with the "remember you were there" comment.

Not defending Tony, I would have rather him say "Reiff's that's none of my business right now, we have to concentrate soley on Neff, let me get back to my Neil Young."

All this being said, I just want to be entertained. And I was!

All I can say is, I'm glad I missed the telecast... "Kick 'em they're up, kick 'em when they're down, They want Dirty Laundry".

Still think the boys with the 'C' team did a good job this weekend... glad I got to hang out with them...

Might have to throw Ed McCulloch in there too after his comments Sunday. Why can't these guys focus on what they can control, run your own car and beat the guy in the other lane and the rest of the crap won't matter.

Why can't people call out the BS? The Ace was spot on with his comments.

No the bet was that John would LET Robert win.

Kind of hard to prove since Robert did indeed win. I am sure the conspiracy theorists have ideas in their heads. One I heard on another site was John was using a used blower belt :D. Sorry, I couldn't resist since John has already turned his team into the WWE of the NHRA.

I have to agree with you on that one.
Anytime Force gets a network camera stuck in his face he starts showboating.
A few races back just before [he was about to give an interview] he grabbed a parachute and and acted like he was packing it. When he started talking- the parachute hit the ground.
Just yesterday, he knew the camera was on him while he watched Ashley smoke the tires. "Come on baby.....Come on baby..... Son of a b***h!

I've seen poor sports in the NHRA but today topped the list watching and listening to the Pedregons whine about Force's operation. I suppose they'll lose their "Sportsmanship Trophy" again?

If johns sponsors are ok with what he is doing then i think its fine, but do you think the Pedregons (aka whiners) sponsors like all of the *****ing they are doing and crying. May be kleenex will pick them up next year!!! Whether force is right or wrong, they should just go about their business and move on, not look like the babies they are.

This topic has more lives than Jason Vorhees. It's time for ESPN to let it go and quit asking everybody and their brother whether they think John's going to take a dive or not at whatever race they happen to be at that day; Indy was over a month and three races ago, now four. Where's the dead horse icon when you need it?

I think it's in ESPN2's control room with the producer... is it true that between shows, he goes out to the middle of the Nevada desert looking for UFO's flying out of Area 51 at Dream Land?

Its not the content of his comments that are at issue. Its the fact that he (and others) take time to comment on another teams actions when he should be focusing on his own car. If you recall he WAS in first place but not anymore. Go back to running your own car and focus on what you can control. Everything else is BS.

It bugs me when people get so caught up in what the other guy is doing. Drag Racing is very simple, beat the guy or gal in the other lane. When I race I don't care who is in the other lane or how they got there, they are just another opponent that I need to defeat. I admire those who take the high road. If anyone had a reason to complain last year it was Tim Wilkerson but did we hear from him on how the count down screwed him, no.

Oh and by the way I would like to see Ron Capps win this year, he has been doing it the right way for years and he is due.

ESPN? It the people in this thread that wont let it die. Because they have a problem with JFR. Many of whom are mods.
