It's a nice article, but one part of it is not explained well. It says when Joe Gibbs left drag racing at the end of 2000, Corey Mac was forced into bankruptcy. Why would loss of his sponsorship do that? The article indicates he only ran one race in 2001, so it doesn't look like he took out a second mortgage on his home to campaign an entire season. The implication is that Gibbs left CM hanging with a lot of debt obligations that crippled him financially!?
