no, i do not, but i thought the champion (gray) got 50k? race x race not familiar with numbers.

NHRA Pro Mod is 20K.
IHRA is 50K.
Plus they have Nitrous Pro Mod and Outlaw Pro Mod.
I'm not sure they really need three.

And IHRA is probably a shorter trip for many of them. Seems like a lot are in the SE.

Mongo just pawn in game of life.

(I find I am using that line at work more often, usually to the perplexed look of the kids i have to work with.)

I look forward to Darryl coming to more tracks in The South. Ferris TX and Steele AL come to mind.

So, has the IHRA implemented any rule changes to make it cheaper to run in their series, or just still using the NHRA rulebook.

Not using the NHRA rulebook, we have our own. There are things IHRA is more flexible on, which inherently makes it cheaper. The problem is, in order for teams to be able to run both series, it’s really hard to have a ruleset that is much different. The sport as a whole needs that.

The whole race model that IHRA has a bigger effect. 10-race schedule. Teams don’t have to show up until Thursday for a Friday-Saturday race… much less expense on hotel and food. Only 2 qualifiers. Max of 3 elimination rounds. And finally, 1/8th mile. All of these things have a drastic effect on the budget needed to run at IHRA events.

Josh are you based around Hebron, Newark area ??

You know what NHRA needs (other than a couple of actual car guys on the masthead)?

Two representatives from all the drag racing-based social media sites/pages as consultants. An opinion from The Everyman. Someone in the room that buys the hot dog and fills the empty seat.

I can think of couple of smart guys to nominate from here...
