Announcement regarding 2024 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series schedule
NHRA has announced that it will focus on developing a new national event for the 2025 Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season. Originally planned for 2024, the decision was made to give all parties additional time to create a successful event.

have to ask yourself about the topic from other thread, regarding lack of national event sponsors.
there are around a dozen events nhra has to find money for, much less worry about hosting a one-off race somewhere.
as the schedule sits rite now, there is a 4.5 week break between sonoma (july 26-28) and brainerd (august 15-18).
seems like the perfect gap for pro promotions, llc to develop another event. selfishly could only dream of a special, one year only,
event at BIR the weekend before the nat. event. could be called the The Showdown in Zootown
there are around a dozen events nhra has to find money for, much less worry about hosting a one-off race somewhere.

Mike that would be awesome and wish it could happen. Unfortunately if they were to come up with an event we do not have those dates open on our schedule, if they would have been I would have scheduled our Double Divisional/Regional event for that weekend. This year on that weekend we have PGI's (Pyrotechnic Guild International) convention on site from Aug. 3-9. They will have 3 nights of open to the public shows on Sunday, Wednesday, & Friday. here is a short video from last years show with Drones & Fireworks and their website if anyone is interested in learning who they are and what they do.
