NHRA Mountain Motor PS to have championship in 2024

Comp Plus reports the Mtn Motors will be at 6 races, 8 car fields, and have their owm points deal.

My one thought is could they get enough racers to have 16 car fields?

I worked for an IHRA Team in the early 2000's. Absolut loved the Mountain Motor Pro Stocks. I would love to see them run 10 events like Pro Mod. Yes some events would intertwine with Pro Stock. But, I think you could have two Pro Stock categories at places like Indy, Gainesville, Charlotte, Norwalk, then have Mountain Motor standalone at Epping, Charlotte 4 Wide, Vegas 4 Wide and Virginia (if they go back there). More race cars on track the better these days.

After a couple of seasons, they could probably get 16 car fields. This is my favorite doorslammer category by far! Now, just get rid of the hood scoops and go to fuel injection!
