NHRA/IHRA NITRO

Kind of sad to see the lack of fans. Yes it’s Friday and it’s hot and maybe people will show up for Nitro but it is really thin right now. Also seeing them go old school with the track cleanup. Can’t rest he last time I have seen guys with brooms sitting on the tailgate with the old white powder.

No, whoever it was, that was the only time he spoke.

Ken and TJ are doing a good job for starting out with nothing. Ken brings back the sound of the '90's IHRA for me. Splash in a little Ted Jones and it would be perfect.

The star on the mic is Kristen Beat in the lanes. I have been watching her on the pro flat track motorcycle shows for years. She does a ton of research in between events, and brings that knowledge to television. I believe she also covers motocross events.

What's Awesome with this group is that they don't talk over the cars while they are racing. Get in and say a quick few things and let the cars do all of the talking. Great job and coverage! T.J. is doing a great job and Tony P. should take note, spit the marbles out of your mouth before you try to explain something.

She makes sensible comments, lets the racers answer, doesnt YELL. Her and Amanda would make a great team. Booth announcers stuck to racing, no stupid comments, jokes and NO dj. Replays of cars going down the track during breaks was good. Nice to have Mark Thomas in the booth. Would like to see him in a TF car. Camera angles were the best, showed cars in shutdown. Never thought anyone could outdo Dean Pappadeas and Main Event videos but this coverage was the best. I will be at the NC race.

This is a shit show (for fuel cars), hardly no one in the stands on the on track action is horrible, not one car got down the track earlier with the fuel cars. Fingers crossed it's better for the night session if they ever get to make a pass. Now the track lights are going out. At this rate, the fuel cars will be running at midnight.

Ihra stated there will be speedbumps and lessons to learn. I enjoyed Mike's 4.07 at 309

But today. 2 drivers will win 50000$......Stock pays 5000$...For me the racing will be exciting. Pick winners?? Where to get those great looking IHRA shirts???? 2 seat TF car got mentioned, never heard that on the other side.

And if the product is horrible, this will be short lived. Sorry, but I had higher expectations. Great someone won $50k, but the racing was shit. Again, I am speaking of the fuel show. Why would the NHRA mention the 2 seat TF car? It’s a gimmick. Fingers crossed today is a better show, I really want this to be successful and an alternative for the NHRA on off weekends.
