NHRA/IHRA NITRO

the money is out there. just look at all the improvements garret and victor are making to BMP and the freedom factory.
those guys are hitting home runs down there. and their drag racing events do not fall under nhra or ihra.

all these independents towing to ohio instead of even 1-3 of them considering the west coast.
9 regulars @ seattle so far, and only 11 @ sonoma. ida and ron august the +2 in CA, and torrence not on list for either.

I’m a little surprised there is no Ron Smith entered in Seattle. It makes so much more sense for the midwest. independents to run IHRA, especially when the NHRA is out west. Funny car might be a different story. So far we have Haddock, Creasy, Wyatt and Gallegos. I haven’t heard any other names being confirmed. It would make some sense for Paul Smith, Chris King, Justin Schriefer, Mike Mcintire, Dana Hard, and Herzhauser racing to attend some events.

I do wonder how many of the racers will continue to run IHRA. The cost to run two qualifiers and three rounds is most likely going to cost more than the purse. If they blow up some parts it makes it difficult to get to the next one. Don Sosenka once told me it is financially better to lose in the first round than it is in the second round. The extra run only pays a few thousand more.

I didn't think that I would ever get used to 1/8th mile in a million years. After going to a few Outlaw Pro Mod and Nitro Chaos races and getting accustomed to the ETs and records I got used to it.

I was thinking about running in FC

Do you think Worsham's will run TF or FC in IHRA?

I’m sure he would if there is a driver paying for the ride. I haven’t seen any indications on social media that anything is in the works. I’m not sure if they house the car in Brownsburg or California.
