Tell that to the Kalitta camp. 1,000ft was and is very smart and it sucks we lost Scott in order to mandate it.1000 feet was smart? I DON'T THINK SO! The attendance took a HUGE HIT and has NEVER recovered.![]()

No disrespect to anyone here but 1000 ft track probably would not of changed the outcome of Scotts crash.
I wonder if 1000' was the reason Nascar took the same huge hit and never recovered?1000 feet was smart? I DON'T THINK SO! The attendance took a HUGE HIT and has NEVER recovered.![]()
An extra 320ft of stopping distance certainly wouldn't have made it any worse. No disrespect to anyone here but 1000 ft track probably would not of changed the outcome of Scotts crash.
ha ha, I just spit out my water all over my computer. Funny how both sports lost support at the same time, maybe it was 1000ft. lolI wonder if 1000' was the reason Nascar took the same huge hit and never recovered?
I drive slow so I get pretty good fuel mileage. I think my food bill is higher then our fuel bill.Ticket prices and the price that the vendors charge wouldn't be a contributing factor would it?
But then again,They need to charge that much to pay the fuel bill so you can see Eugene on the East Coast! LOL!

Driving is my relaxation time so I want to make it last as long as I can.LOL!Is it your decision to drive slow or Jim's? Slower means more eye advertisement on the hauler per mile.
Exactly, and as stated on the page, it has actually hurt the small teams that had run quick enough to qualify in the late Friday session, but not in the Friday top 12.
Right now you have 4 qualifying spots guaranteed on Saturday. If conditions are great on Friday night and you don't run well and most others do, it maybe tough to make a good enough run to get in on Saturday. I have been on both sides of the Top 12 rule. There was a time years back that you really needed the Top 12 rule because if you missed the set up Friday night, you could run low ET on Saturday and still not make it in...didn't really make sense that you really only had one chance to get in. Now with the smaller fields, less night runs and way better track prep it's probably not an issue anymore. I always thought that if you wanted to make driver intro's more exciting that you would let the number 1 guy/girl pick who they wanted to race and then go to #2 and do the same until it was done. That would really create rivalries especially as you got closer to the Countdown.
16 poker chips in a bag, number two of them with a number 1, two with number 2, etc, and everyone picks a chip out of the bag. The two that have the same number that is the pair that race each other.
