NHRA Doing Away with it's Friday Top 12 Format?

Maybe they will go to what they had to do to keep racing on LI. Holeshot drag racing, I think they go to the 60' mark.
Rich people bought all the land around the track then complained about the noise and shut it down.

Wont be long we will be down to 1/8 mile nitro. they are 285 mph at the 1/8.

Actually they are already in the high 290s at the 1/8. When they start running 300 at the 1/8 NHRA will still be able to market 300 mph (the magic number; or so they think), and then your prediction will sadly come true.

I believe, if that were true, they would have switch back years ago. 1000ft was a deal breaker for me but, apparently most fans didn't mind

I lost all interest in fuel car times/speeds when they went to 1000 ft. because it's the same as moving in the fences at a ballpark. Homerun records become instantly irrelevant; and every previous record holder is disrespected.

The big restriction from what I understand is the MPH the tire is capable of.
They are not capable of running much faster and staying together.
