I can't believe we rank lower than track and field. I hate to say it but maybe it's time we just go back to the old American Sports Cavalade type of show. Yeah, I know it wasn't on for a month but at least it was on.:(

Yes, well we'll see how that works out.;) My DishNet guide says 'track and field' before it, and ESPN2's online guide shows ' Af Golden League: Istaf Berlin' Is that Arena Football? Retired people? Yikes! In case anyone missed it and wants to record the NNW race like I did, ESPN2 is replaying it at 1:30 am ET.:D

Well, the best way we can spin this is we're not as important as track and field, but we're better than a rerun of the world series of poker.

Seriously, why is it that an NHRA race can never be scheduled for live television because of oildowns and other unforseen downtime, yet a farking MINOR LEAGUE a$$car event can get an extra 2+ hours of airtime because of a rain delay. I could understand if this were a winston, nextel or whoever the hell their title rights sponsor is this year, but it's being repeated as I type this. For the money that NHRA pays to ESPN for coverage I don't think that an extra hour of coverage at Bristol makes up for what happened today. C'mon, who does the NHRA brass have to blow to get us a little more respect?

C'mon guys -
LIVE Minor league NASCAR (or just about ANYTHING else LIVE) is always 'gonna take precedence ove TAPED NHRA (or anything else on tape) as it should.

Just too bad they couldn't break-away and run the NHRA qualifying while Dover track drying was going on. It couldn't have made any of their fans happy.. (Can you imaging Paul Page vamping for 3 hours ?!?!?!):)
