New NHRA TV Deal (4 Viewers)

I proposed the addition of FloRacing to one of the co-founders of FloSports 18-years ago when there was just FloWrestling, FloTrack, and FloSwimming. I used to freelance for FloTrack back in the day when all of their content was free. I believe that the knowledge and dedication of every one of their passion-driven employees is hard to come by. In order to grow and expand to other niche sports, it was inevitable that they would need to start charging for their services. Now that they have 25 different channels for various sports, I can tell you that they are here to stay. What’s nice is that once you subscribe, you have access to all of their other channels.

I cancelled my Flo subscription last year, originally subscribed for the Nhra Bradenton race. The diversity of content and cost is second to none but $170 per year was too much since I couldn't even begin to watch it all.

Beats me... Though I'd love to say it's a good choice Brian.
For a reason I don't care to disclose ATM I canceled service for .tv and probably won't be back. Too much on my plate ATM for starters!

Remember last year when you couldn't swing a cat without hitting some "F1 this" or "Lando, Max & Lewis that" over here?

Then the organization signed with Apple TV. And the American silence regarding the sport became deafening.

F1 made bank on that signing deal, but lost all its casual viewers (the hard-core still get the European stream through some creative web-work...).
I wonder how the deal renewal negotiations will go in a couple of years? Too little, too late?

I think a split with CW/Fox Sports is great. CW doesn’t have a ton of regular programming on Sunday so they have the available space on Sunday to show more live racing and potentially a longer show. Also the CW sports programming can be watched on the ESPN app as well. If we do get FLO for the livestream that opens a possibility that Amazon Prime could show some of it to. They did for the Norwalk race last weekend and some Winter Series races last year. Anytime we can get some more eyes on the sport that is a plus.
