Mother of all burnouts

Not the first time I've seen a car on fire and the driver didn't know it. The last time was at a bracket race and it was the car in the left lane beside me. As I'm slowing in the shutdown, he goes FLYING past me (which had me wondering "Where's he going?" LOL). Turns out it was because he was sliding in his own transmission fluid while trying to stop, which he barely managed to do before he'd went off the track. After stopping, he just sat there like the driver in the video, not knowing there was a fire underneath.

The fire was caused by the same thing that had him sliding. Rubber lines going to his trans cooler, which were spraying onto his headers.

Ditto. Gotta love rednecks. "Hey y'all watch this!". Of course if someone got hurt it would be covered in the media as a "drag racing" accident.

No offense intended to any rednecks who frequent this board. :p

:D:D It's like a friend of mine tells me all of the time. "We're still rednecks. We're just educated rednecks."

Even though the cars are dramatically different, this looks alot like the Troy Critchley tagedy to me. Car could still have gotten away from him with people just standing around.

Moron....I love it when he just gets back into the car and plans to drive it off.

A lot of rubbernecks don't realize that with these cars doing burnouts causes the turbo and down pipe to get up to about a million degrees.

I would never do that to mine (well maybe not that long;))
