I'm going to be in ANC for a couple of days next week. Any Mater's up they want to get together for a cocktail? Or offer some advice on things to see and do?

Alan

Great Alaskan Bush Company 2 out by the airport. You have to experience it at least once. Make sure you bring plenty of "tip" money.;)

Sounds like the voice of experience there Chris , wish I had known that when I was there 5 years ago .. :D

Alan - try Chilkoot Charlie's on 25th! Spent two years in Anchorage in the 70's and really enjoyed it - the owner was a friend who was a city councilman.
Amazingly, after 30 years, it's still rockin'!
Their motto was "We Cheat The Other Guy and Pass The Savings On To You"
And . . . make sure someone else is picking up the bar bill - things can get really expensive up there! Have fun - :D

Kelly,

I'd almost bet the opportunity arose to visit Anchorage and that will allow Alan to check off another state on his "I"ve been there" list.

Ding Ding Ding!!! We have a WINNER!

This is the last one. I've got a couple of days between Denver and Seattle, so I'm flying up to cross off number 50. Then I can move to the next thing on the Bucket List.

Jim, Thanks! I'll check it out.

Thats cool Alan. And I love Alaska. I'd move there tomorrow if I could talk my wife into it. I also only have one state left. Hawaii. I think I am going to cross that one off in a few years.

Alaska was INCREDIBLE!!! My 50th state trip was a great one. From driving around in a 2010 Mustang convertible, to the weather, to the sun still being up @ 11 o'clock to all of it. I will be going back sometime when I have more time to explore.

Rich,

Thank You for dinner. I will return the favor next time we're both in Vegas. And thanks for the guidance around your hometown. Found the track, but couldn't get in. I enjoyed every minute of the visit.

Alan

Reinhart, you are officially the only person that I have ever met that has been to more states than I have. I have been to 49 ... the only state left on my list is Hawaii.

Congrats on your trip, glad you had fun. Indy will be here before you know it ... see you there!

Hello Allen,

now that you have seen all the States any chance we will see you in Europe? We would love to show you around Amsterdam. (The Netherlands) If you ever run into Tom Hoover you could ask him how much fun Amsterdam is :)

Found the track, but couldn't get in.

You found it? I had fun finding the place back in '05 (funny story about why I was there). Beautiful place with a scary track, but it's pretty cool racing into the side of a mile-high mountain 40 miles from civilization.

I'd post pics but it appears I need to save them to a host first. I'll e-mail them if anyone is interested in posting them.

Glad you had fun. I'd live there too if my wife would agree and I had a private jet to get to races.

Alan,
Glad you had a good time here, anytime your here give us a call. The weather was great for your visit, as its raining now. We just got back from racing this weekend in Fairbanks, 90 degrees there & awesome fun. Worst track I have ever seen, ever, but still ran 6.17 @ 221. I will look you up when I come to Vegas & Pomona.
