In Canada we receive Fox NHRA races through our cable network, Rogers broadcast as Fox Sports Racing a separate network set up for other than the American audiences. For the last three years through some deal they have with Canadian broadcast overseers we not only get loud commercials but we get the same loud obnoxious ones for the last three years. Advertising those shows that insult the consummate racefan. i.e. Car Warriors, Are You Faster Than A Redneck and Dumbest Stuff on Wheels, always in that order to name a few!
If I am forced to watch these races, I record them and fast-forward through the ads which can be up to five minutes.
It drives a person crazy and if a network were to do that to a major stick and ball sport there would be a mutiny of that sport, not only by fans but the sponsors.
I have tied to contact my cable provider to no avail, as they are too big and hold a monopoly in Canada.
My solution to the problem is NHRA All Access, the best thing for a hardcore fan such as myself.
