Linda Vaughn was in the tower with Alan at the start of PS Q5 and he politely asked her what was the first year she came to the Us Nationals. She replied 1966 and I'm 75 and still alive, and shifting gears. She also mentioned she would have liked to have owned a Pro Stock team.
It was an honor and privilege to finally meet Don Garlits. I've been a huge fan of him since I first started following the sport in the mid '60s. He couldn't have been any nicer to this longtime fan.
