Beard tuned a top fueler to one of the top 5 quarter mile time slips in NHRA history a few months ago during Monday testing, the best part was the MPH at the 1/4 was only 310.

Cant wait to see where this all goes!

From what I've read, I'm not sure this is Beard's new gig. More like this:

I thought the problem was the tech deptment at NHRA was out of touch with what was going on at the races, now they will have Lee Beard to set everyone straight.

I find it interesting that when Lee tryed to set everyone straight several years ago when He was with DSR, He was ignored.

Beard arrogant? , Look at the guys resume in racing, now look at you own so who's arrogant the guy who carries himslef with confidence or the guy who takes that heir of confidence as arrogance.

Confidence is often mistaken as arrogance by the small of mind.

I have known the man 35 years He has my respect, as a racer and good man.

The key word there is "testing". Not necessarily Legal.

Never said that was the goal. I was making the comment based on the comment that said they were thrilled with Lee going to the NHRA. IMO, the only way the majority on this board will be happy with him is if he helps guide the NHRA back to 1/4 nitro racing. I personally am not in favor of that, but that is for a different discussion.
