I didn't see the interview or the run but I'm confused on something. Some have stated that Larry acted like he didnt know he was only getting one run in. And others have stated that Larry made a mistake. If he didnt know that was his only run, then he didnt make a mistake. But it sounds like every other team, and crew, and ESPN knew. So now I'm even more confused. Either way, that team will be just fine.

We qualified our TA/FC on Thursday with a less than stellar run. The first thing I told my driver was "This may be our only shot based on weather reports for the weekend. Get this thing to the finish line no matter what."
In 2005 we missed qualifying at a division 7 race because our driver shut it off early and did nothing to complete the run when bad weather was predicted. The remaining qualifying runs were rained out and we went home.
Based on local weather reports everyone it the pits should have realized we were all in big trouble.
