Go to the site www.DRGE68.com, and there's an interview with Blood that is awesome. It's over an hour, and I haven't gotten through it yet, but so far it's just great. As a kid I drew race cars day and night, so I idolized Kenny as much as any of the drivers.

I had a Frank Pedregon litho that I bought from Kenny years ago (the fuel coupe). Kenny signed it. Had it framed. Ended up donating it to DRAW. John Force bought it & donated to Billy Meyer. Thought it was cool that Force bought it & also that DRAW got the money. Kenny does great work.

Yes he does. Did you happen to watch the interview? Pretty cool how he talks about his early days in the sport.
Wow - never realized he drove nitro dragsters. Great interview, lots of interesting stuff. He is about 1 year older than me. Funny story abut not getting drafted cuz of the burns. I remember going thru the process with the docs before I enlisted in the Air Force. Also getting all the shots with that "air gun". argh
Kenny said he saw Don Gay F/C at San Gabriel. I thought that track closed in 1963, but I guess it was later, maybe 1964 or 1965. When it closed, Irwindale opened to take it's place. I went to San Gabe once, around 1963.

Eddie Hill will be 86 in March. Hard to believe.

Wow. Seems like yesterday he made the move to asphalt and after struggling early on, ultimately became a champ.
Kenny Youngblood drew "The Invader Bitch" for Glenn Solano several years ago, and Glenn had it on his cars. Glenn and Youngblood apparently had known each other for several years.
I've still got a t-shirt and an Invader hat with an "Invader Bitch" pin on it.
Mike Van Zant, the driver of The Invader came out to Glenn's house in 2014 to help us get ready for a race in Tulsa.
I took a picture of Mike and Glenn in Glenn's shop and sent it to Youngblood. His response? "Man, those guys are getting old."
I don't remember which magazine, but there was an article a few years back where Youngblood talked about the making of The Invader Bitch.
Glenn is on the left in the picture.
Youngblood’s customary “Blood Did It” signature is visible on both pictures of the t-shirt.
