James Drew Passes

James was a great friend whom we will miss terribly. After meeting in Baytown, TX in 1988 (we both live in So Cal but had to travel 1500 miles to meet!) we hit dozens of National Events together across the U.S.. He loved drag racing and the people in it so much!! Please keep his family in your prayers.

James was 55 years old! He has battled a number of health issues in recent years, but seemed his old self this past weekend at the March Meet. We cruised the pits after qualifying Friday night, and he was shooting anything and everything (per usual). Prior to our cruise he was laying in front of the MavTV jet car on the Famoso quarter mile!!!!!!

What a shock. Deeply sadden. When we were getting ready to make a run, I remember getting out of his way so he could get the shot. I never said a word to him, but admired his work.

Rest in peace, you and your family is in our prayers.

I never met James, but he used to post here and I have enjoyed his work for a long time. Sad deal all the way around.

Condolences to family and friends.

sad man, Rest with the Lord James..
I used to use a lot of his images to make the animated racing avatars for avatarsbymas.com
