Maybe we're seeing a time when too few folks can or just won't spend hours listening to the roar and it's not so much the cost being a problem, people need to enjoy
the time spent, even if it's not for hours & more- but happy times & memories are made, and it seems when many groups or classes of racers look into their options, they are usually welcomed to try things out. I see more playgrounds & more players able to ply the waters.
People come together, they have a blast with every adrenaline rush they endure, I don't see a helluva lot wrong with that.
I imagine either of the biggest sanctioning bodies would welcome 500 inch injected nitro funny cars regardless of run length as long as paychecks are fair 'nuff...
Wouldn't it be cool if there were the option of either/or, and of course a larger purse for the big show booms that are inherent to pounding the snot out of your gear on the longer and faster runs when limits are reached, learned or exceeded badly.
