How did THIS one get by JFR????

Anybody here think it would have been cool to have Mattel and Hot Wheels step up and re-join Snake for 2010?

I should have said... there's no need for collectibles in my house! :D

Joe, there is no comparison between the reach of Danica Patrick and that of Ashley Force... here's something to chew on: ESPN2 and the Speed channel both reported significant ratings gains for broadcasts of Patrick's races.

Sorry Joe, but drag racing will never equal the reach of the NASCAR juggernaut.

Your preaching to the Choir, but somebody needs to tell NHRA that, they don't seem to agree.

Chris I agree.Think about how special drag racing is within the motorsports world. It really hit home with me after reading the different stories about all the historical additions to the 50th Winternationals. The collection of cars and people that have made up, and still make up, this sport is unreal. When I hear words used like "Playoffs, pole, provisional pole, chase," etc., it really bugs me. Trying to copy NASCAR and anyone else hasn't helped this sport, that I can see anyway. And guess what? It doesn't ever have to be as big as NASCAR, it just needs to be healthy, and right now, it needs some strong leadership and some savvy marketing to move things up a notch or two.

NHRA just needs to realize they are not NASCAR and stop trying to emulate them. Embrace what makes Drag Racing different ... don't try to cover it up.

Absolutely right---make NHRA as good as it can be and quit worrying about NASCAR. They are apples and oranges.

Its funny how many talk about role models and stuff. You don't look upto someone to look at how to live you look up to someone because you respect what they have achieved. Nobody is perfect or squeeky clean everyone makes mistakes. Its like that whole tiger woods thing so what what he did privatly thats his problem and it involves him and the others involved but his achievment in his chosen sport that is what you look upto.
