Houston we've got a problem

Jonathan Gray blew a right rear and rubbed against wall. Serio Ferio(sp) flipped at least 8 times and was air med out. His car is still on the other side of the wall. Will get it later.

Two blown tires in Pro Mod: Jonathan Gray hits the wall, Rickie Smith saves his car. Sidnei Frigo sent to hospital. Not a good day for Pro Mod.

How many door cars with big wings are going to go over the wall before NHRA does something?

What do you want them to do, host a class to teach drivers how to get out of the throttle when their car gets out of shape instead of staying in it too long?
They shouldn't be going over the wall when they get turned around. Those big wings are lifting the rear of the car into the air when they get about 90 degrees from straight.

But Frigo doesn't have a big wing car, he has a wing similar to a pro stock car. It's definitely nothing like Jonathan Gray has on his car.

NHRA. Don't touch anything. Let them figure it out themselves.

Not only will the racers figure it, you wont be the one being blamed.

This class doesn't have this many cars showing up for no reason. Please leave it alone.

The pro-mod cars are for sure wild and crazy. Like the T/F & F/C of the past !

This is exactly the good O'l days that people will be talking about in just a few years.
Not the crashing. Of course nobody wants to see someone get hurt.
Let the racers figure it out and they will.

NHRA, remember the people telling you to change it now are also the same peep's that will be blaming you later.

You guys do realize that this is the first NHRA pro mod flip in nearly three years? Most would say thats a pretty solid safety record.

Frigo was qualified near the top from his first qualifying run so it is crazy that he stayed in it as long as he did. Lifting is always an option....

Oh and heres a link to my photos of yesterdays action....

the bottom of his corvette is all skinned?.....an obvious air foil in an incident such as this.....but does this
start to become 'ground effects'?, something i thought nhra has always not allowed? just wondering.
hope he will be ok - a terrible accident.

You even got a shout out on the the video of Gray's incident.

They had those 16 years ago. Were cool to see. Missed the first 5 for a door car by .0002.
