HELL YEA JOHN FORCE!

HELL YEAH!

But let's face it, either driver would have been a cool win TBH.

Actually, the best part (for me anyway) was when he took out that whiney Cruz in the semis! :D

With Dusty Rhodes recent passing, it made me think. John Force is definitely the Dusty Rhodes of drag racing

There was a real Dusty Rhodes in drag racing. I believe he is still alive.

Happy to see John win but if John Force needs to make up a so called rival with DSR to get him motivated, then so be it. Being the showman that he is, he knows that is what drag racing needs. Also I can't see Don saying something like that but maybe I missed it. But since we are talking about wrestling, I remember when I was a kid and saw the bad guys and good guys talking and playing around before their matches back stage. The rival thing kind of killed it for me.

Good to see John get a win with a steady performance. Was put off with the forced rivalry piece, not sure what he was trying to get out. What did Don do to him? Don didn't ask John's people to take pay cuts and Don had nothing to do with Castrol and Ford leaving JFR.

I agree, more John Force pandering and how many teams has he run out of drag racing in the last 20 years?

I don't think it's a forced rivalry. I think Force gave an interview to a paper, and when he said "he wants to ruin me" I took it as a reference to their on track competitiveness. To me the announcers took it a bit farther than what Force was conveying. Force and Shoe are friends and intense rivals as well. Pretty simple.

I liked the "if ya can't beat him, then buy him (hire him)" reference to Matt Hagen, but
I loved the top end march John's car made in the 2 closest races:)

What's that in reference to? Matt's CC was unemployed when Don brought him on. Jimmy Prock was forced out by Force because he has a significantly smaller budget this year.

Well I guess John got what he wanted, just saw his win and reference to Don on Sports Center. When the last time NHRA was on Sports Center without a crash?

I was half asleep and missed it which included deleting the show but was was he referencing when it was bleeped out.

Force said that if Hagan is ever out of a job he would hire him. Antron Brown was in the penalty box with Reiff and Dunn and immediately said "I love that, if you can't beat him, hire him."
