Lets see how they do the entire season! I'm sure these two will meet another 5-6 times or more! Then you can talk about a statement!

It appears to me (but what do I know?) that AJ taught Mike Green how to run as quick or quicker than everybody but...AJ. That one sliped by not because LD was late but because TS left first. Lots of racing left. But I think it indicates that Tony has put it on a bit of a personel level. I think to AJ and LD its just another team to get past and it will be the same when they race the Snake team.

When are you guys going to get REAL it wasn't Green against Johnson.
IT WAS Green against McCulloch! Jason IS proving to be a real threat as a top crew chief

NO kidding, I think Tony is the most consistent leaver and makes less mistakes than any other TF driver. Likewise, Jeggie in PS.

Jack,

You're correct. Those two guys are the coolest under pressure. Tony drove his way to victory yesterday and should be recognized for it. He's an incredible competitor. Jeggie is just as cool on the line...he consistently is the quickest leaver in eliminations and never seems to make a driving mistake. I remember around 10 years ago Jeggie stating that he was making 400 'passes' each week in his simulator. I also remember a seasoned opponent of Jeggie scoffing at that figure, saying he didn't have time to "play" on a simulator every day. Hmmm...who's laughing now.

Thank you Sean! They are just following the lead of Paul Page who opened up yesterdays broadcast with calling AJ 'the tuner' on that team.

It will take time, but Jason will get the props he deserves:)

yes i am sure that later in the season when it's coming down to the last couple races they will look at the semi's of Houston as the turning point.....:rolleyes:

geez...

You go on and keep thinking that! ;) :p
I will bet the house that everything Jason does is ran past AJ first and if any tweaking should be done he will tell him or at the very least steer Jason into making the right call so in a sense he is still the guy.
Jason will be decent but he is still learning the difference is AJ's just taken the back seat driving duties!

My thoughts too. If Alan wasn't there, they would be just another Top Fuel team out there, in the middle of the pack. Alan Johnson makes them the best team out there even if he isn't the official crew chief. Not taking anything away from Jason, if he is anything like his father he will become an excellent crew chief in time.

I also liked a post a few up from here about the race slipped by not because LD was late but because TS left first. If Tony left first, would that not make Larry late? I just thought it was funny. If you don't leave at the same time, someone is always late.

It looks like that writer was trying to be smart with that post but ended up just out-smarting himself. If you have a .104 reaction time (Larry Dixon), YOU ARE LATE. The Sarge's .082 reaction time was okay but not THAT great. It's just Larry's was worse, I'm sorry to say. I'm sure Larry will gather himself up and that will not happen again very often. But, my ultimate point is, "you are correct sir" (as Ed McMahon would say). Both Tony leaving first and Larry being late is true. No "pair of ducks" (paradox) here. :D
