I took a friend who has never been to a drag race to the Finals today and we walk wondered the pits this morning and ended up at Joey's pit. He could not have been a nicer guy. We asked some basic and some more advanced questions. He told me all about how his connections help with this and that for the car. A lot of budget and part life/cost discussion. And was just the most down to earth genuine good guy. We must have chatted for like an hour and he never seemed bothered or rushed. He told us a little about his track in Oregon.
My friend had no idea who he was or that he is defending champ and a serious high caliber star.
Just wanted to say that he really impressed me and made me even more of a fan for sure. Joey and his team are my definition of a class act.
